SUMMARY:Special Camps Overnight Camp for Youth with Developmental Disabilit
 ies in Ingleside
DESCRIPTION:Overnight camp opportunities for children and young adults with
  intellectual disabilities ages 9 to 22\n\nSpecial Camps is an overnight\,
  all-volunteer-run camp for children and adults with intellectual disabili
 ties.\n\nWhile families and caregivers get a week-long respite\, trained s
 taff and 24-hour nursing provide a safe place for campers to explore:\n\n 
 	New opportunities\n 	Independence and self-esteem\n 	Friendships\n\nSpeci
 al Camps will host an overnight camp session for children and young adults
  ages 9 to 22 from June 14 to 19.\n\nCampers will be divided into groups f
 or ages 9 to 13 and ages 14 to 22. Activities will include:\n\n 	Swimming 
 in a heated pool\n 	A rope course\, climbing wall and zipline\n 	Archery a
 nd outdoor sports\n 	Canoeing and fishing\n 	Arts and crafts\n 	Hayrides\,
  campfire songs and s’mores\n\nThe cost is $1\,200 per week. A limited n
 umber of partial scholarships are available for campers in need.\n\nLearn
