DESCRIPTION:Experience an inclusive and affirming prom at this Valentine's 
 Day event for teens on the autism spectrum\n\nThe Chicago Children’s The
 atre will host the "Red Kite Prom" on Feb. 14 from 7 to 10 p.m.\n\nTeens o
 n the autism spectrum can enjoy Valentine’s Day at this accessible\, neu
 rodiverse prom!\n\nChaperones trained in facilitating inclusion will provi
 de an inclusive and affirming space where everyone can celebrate.\n\nThe e
 vent will offer:\n\n 	Reduced lighting and sound levels\n 	Break spaces an
 d fidgets at the ready\n 	Dancing\n 	Lower energy options and alternative 
 activities\n\nThe event is designed for teenagers ages 13 to 18 on the aut
 ism spectrum. Attendees will receive a pre-prom social story.\n\nParents a
 nd caregivers are encouraged to drop off their teen at prom to give them a
 n independent experience. There will also be a separate waiting room for p
 arents/caregivers who wish to stay.\n\nThe cost is $10 per person.\n\nRegi
