DESCRIPTION:Apply now for one of four $5\,000 college scholarships for indi
 viduals with cleft lip and/or palate and other craniofacial conditions\n\n
 The American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association (ACPA) awards four coll
 ege scholarships annually to outstanding students born with cleft or crani
 ofacial conditions.\n\nThe scholarships honor Dr. Peter Randall and Dr. Do
 n LaRossa for their service to children and dedication to improving the qu
 ality of life for individuals affected by cleft lip/palate and other crani
 ofacial conditions.\n\nThe 2027 scholarship application cycle is open thro
 ugh Jan. 8. The program will select four recipients to receive an award of
  $5\,000 based on:\n\n 	Past academic performance\n 	Leadership and/or com
 munity and school involvement\n 	Future academic success\n 	The applicant'
 s essays\n\nAdditional student eligibility requirements include:\n\n 	A di
 agnosis of cleft lip and/or cleft palate or other congenital craniofacial 
 difference\n 	No receipt of an ACPA college scholarship in the past\n 	Ful
 l-time enrollment for fall 2027 in an accredited United States post-second
 ary institution or program\n 	An unweighted cumulative grade point average
  of 2.5 or greater\n\nThe program gives preference to rising first-year st
 udents entering any field. Currently-enrolled undergraduate students may a
 lso apply. Postgraduate students are not eligible to apply for the scholar
