DESCRIPTION:Grow your augmentative and alternative communication skills at 
 this free two-day\, hybrid workshop for caregivers and professionals\n\nJo
 in the Illinois Assistive Technology Program (IATP) for its "Augmentative 
 and Alternative Communication (AAC) Summer Workshop" on Aug. 4 - 5. The hy
 brid event will include:\n\n 	In-person and virtual sessions on Tuesday\, 
 Aug. 4\, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.\n 	Virtual-only sessions on Wednesday
 \, Aug. 5\, from 8:45 a.m. to  3:45 p.m.\n\nThe in-person sessions will t
 ake place at IATP\, 701 N. Walnut St.\n\nEnhance and grow your AAC skills 
 at this hybrid event\, featuring workshops for beginners to advanced AAC p
 rofessionals.\n\nIn-person and virtual speakers will provide insight and i
 nformation on a wide variety of topics\, including:\n\n 	AAC Intervention 
 with Teens and Young Adults\n 	Evidence-Based AAC Interventions for Early 
 Communicators\n 	Making Language AACessible: Alternate AAC Access Consider
 ations and Accessible Low Tech AAC Tools\n 	AAC and the Transition Age: A 
 Look into Social Peer Groups\n 	Why AAC Isn't Working and What to Do Inste
 ad: Moving from Device to Communication\n\nThe two-day workshop is for any
 one wanting to learn more about AAC - families\, self-advocates\, teachers
