SUMMARY:iCan Bike Camp 2025 in New Lenox
DESCRIPTION:A day camp for youth with disabilities ages 8 to 18 to learn to
  ride a two-wheel bicycle\n\nNew Lenox School District 122 (NLSD) is hosti
 ng iCan Bike Day Camp from June 23-27. Riders will attend one 75-minute se
 ssion each day for five consecutive days.\n\nUsing adapted bicycles\, a sp
 ecialized instructional program and trained staff\, iCan Bike Camp helps c
 hildren and youth ages 8 to 18 with disabilities learn to ride a two-wheel
  bicycle.\n\nFor five consecutive days\, participants will learn to ride w
 hile spotters accompany and encourage them. Camp staff adjust the bikes du
 ring the week to help riders learn to balance as they gradually discover t
 he skill and joy of riding.\n\nA parent or guardian willing to intervene o
 r assist staff as requested must accompany participants. Other requirement
 s include:\n\n 	Attending all five days of camp\n 	Having a minimum inseam
  of 20 inches\n 	Weighing less than 220 pounds\n 	Walking without assistiv
 e devices and being able to side-step to both sides\n 	Willing to wear a p
 roperly fitted helmet\n\nYou can also visit the iCan Bike page on the iCan

  New Lenox residents and $325 for non-residents.\n\nRegister for iCan Bike
  online. Space is limited.\n\nThe camp also needs volunteers ages 15 and o
