DESCRIPTION:Summer camp fun for children and youth who are deaf or hard of 
 hearing featuring field trips\, sports\, sign language and Deaf culture ac
 tivities\n\nJoin the Illinois School for the Deaf (ISD) in Jacksonville fo
 r "Camp 1839" from June 23-27.\n\nCampers will stay in the dorms and exper
 ience life as ISD students.\n\nCamp 1839 will provide a wide range of oppo
 rtunities for campers to make new friends and develop lifelong connections
 . Campers will also:\n\n 	Learn through play and STEAM (science\, technolo
 gy\, engineering\, art\, math) activities\n 	Explore American Sign Languag
 e (ASL) and Deaf culture\n 	Make a splash at the water park\n 	Play sports
 \n 	Put gaming skills to the test in friendly competition with their peers
  and more!\n\nCamp 1839 is for students who are deaf or hard of hearing en
 tering fourth through eighth grade in the 2026-27 school year.\n\nThe cost
