 udents Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
DESCRIPTION:An opportunity to explore advanced technical careers for high s
 chool students who are deaf or hard of hearing and entering grades 10\, 11
  or 12\n\nJoin the Rochester Institute of Technology's National Technical 
 Institute for the Deaf (NTID) to explore "Advanced Tech Careers" from July
  13 to 18. The program will start on Saturday afternoon and will end on Th
 ursday morning.\n\nAdvanced Tech Careers is a fun and educational summer p
 rogram for students who are deaf and hard of hearing to learn more about t
 echnology and the different careers they can pursue in science\, technolog
 y\, engineering and math (STEM).\n\nStudents will engage in activities des
 igned to challenge their minds and spark creativity.\n\nActivities will in
 clude working with other students and instructors in a group of 25 to 30 p
 eople to:\n\n 	Code your own programs and games\n 	Design and build a high
 -tech gadget\n 	Experiment with different technologies in a modern lab\n 	
 Find out what kind of tech careers suit your interests and skills\n\nStude
 nts will also have opportunities to have fun and socialize with other stud
 ents. Students will stay in a dorm room on campus with a roommate and enjo
 y group activities in the afternoon and evening.\n\nThe program is open to
  students who are deaf or hard of hearing and entering grades 10\, 11 or 1
 2 in fall 2024. Students who have attended other programs at RIT/NTID and 
 enjoy technology are welcome to apply again.\n\nThe cost is $700 and cover
 s room\, board and all activities. Partial scholarships are available base
