DESCRIPTION:Illinois students with autism can apply for the 2026 Evolving H
 eroes Education Scholarship through June 30\n\nThe Autism Hero Project is 
 accepting applications for the 2026 Evolving Heroes Education Scholarship 
 until June 30.\n\nAs a neurodiverse community\, individuals on the autism 
 spectrum face unique challenges when it comes to accessing education and e
 mployment opportunities.\nThe Evolving Heroes Scholarship seeks to remove 
 financial barriers and help individuals on the autism spectrum learn and t
 hrive. Recipients can use the 2026-27 academic year grant for a wide range
  of educational and training programs\, including:\n\n\n 	Trade schools\n 
 	Community colleges\n 	Four-year universities\n\nTo be eligible for the sc
 holarship\, applicants must be:\n\n 	Diagnosed with autism spectrum disord
 er (ASD) by a qualified medical professional\n 	Reside in Illinois or Flor
 ida (proof of residency is required)\n\nScholarship amounts are up to $2\,
 500 per person. Recipients can use the scholarship funds to pay for tuitio
 n\, fees and other educational expenses. Recipients cannot use the scholar
 ship for transition programs. First-time applicants will receive priority.
