Week of the Young Child Family Celebration in Springfield

Activities for all ages, including a family fun color run and exotic animal show.

The Capitol Area Association of the Education of Young Children is hosting a Week of the Young Child Family Celebration on April 30 at Southwind Park in Springfield.

The Week of the Young Child focuses public attention on the needs of young children and their families and recognizes the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.

The event will include children’s activities, face painting, balloon animals and local resources from 10 a.m. to noon and an exotic animal show from 1 to 2 p.m.

The Family Fun Color Run/Walk will begin at 3 p.m. To register for the run, click here. Pre-registration closes on April 1.
