Family Day at John Powers Center

Event for families of children who are deaf/hard of hearing to learn about advocacy and the parent-school relationship.

This event is for families of children who are deaf/hard of hearing who are receiving Early Intervention services or are already in school.

Andrea Marwah from Illinois School for the Deaf Outreach will present on “Advocacy and IDEA/Protecting the Parent-School Relationship.” There will also be a Parent Panel to discuss topics related to transition from Early Intervention to Early Childhood. Parents on the panel may offer resources in Lake and McHenry counties but all families are welcome to attend.
